چکیده

The pollution due to the presence of contaminants emerging concern (CECs) is a major cause for because serious threat it supposes human health and ecosystem functions. Many efforts have been geared toward their removal guarantee safer freshwater. Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are crystalline hybrid materials with high surface area flexible rational design, which allows incorporation different active sites into particular framework, thereby as potentially excellent candidate water wastewater treatment. Benefiting from unique redox-active properties MOFs, this review surveys literature update on application CECs. underlaying electron transfer mechanism strategies incorporating MOFs comprehensively discussed. Different components that further highlighted. This study elaborates Fenton-type other advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) removing contaminants. AOPs generate highly reactive strong oxidants like hydroxyl sulfate radicals efficient degrading pollutants mineralization rates. display semiconductor-like properties. Their photocatalytic use dissolved detailed in discussion. also provides an overview most promising directions future research.

Contaminants of Emerging Concern

Contaminants of emerging concern, or CECs, can be broadly defined as chemicals that have been recently detected in the environment and that may pose public health or ecological risks. CECs encompass a wide variety of chemicals, including pharmaceuticals and household chemicals. Many CECs differ from conventional environmental contaminants such as pesticides, metals, polychlorinated biphenyls (P...

Redox-Active Metal-Organic Nanostructure Polymers and Their Remarkable Electrochemical Behavior

A number of redox-active coordination polymers (CPs) or metal- organic frameworks (MOFs) have been successfully synthesized using transition metals and bridging ligands. This article aims to deal with gathering the aforementioned disperse issues regarding the electroactive CPs. It also goes towards illustrating the effects of various factors on the electrochemical behavior of CPs including...

Facile Fabrication of Co3O4 Nanostructures as an Effective Photocatalyst for Degradation and Removal of Organic Contaminants

Co3O4 nanoparticles were synthesized via a simple Co-precipitation reaction between precursors of cobalt and NH3. The effect of different parameters such as concentration of NH3 and precursors of cobalt on the size and photocatalytic activity of the products was investigated. The achieved nanoparticles were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction analysis, field emission scanning electron mic...
